The BC Wine Information Centre has been welcoming visitors since 1996, serving as the official “Gateway to Wine Country.” Operated by the British Columbia Wine Information Society, we are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting BC wines and supporting the local wine industry. Every purchase you make here contributes directly back into our community through educational resources, bursaries, and scholarships for the next generation of viticulture students. We are proud to be more than just a wine store — we are a space that connects people to the stories, flavours, and passion behind BC wine.

OUR VALUES
As a not-for-profit, our values are rooted in community, education, and authenticity. We exist to support BC wine — from the wineries that produce it to the students who will carry the industry forward. Every bottle sold and every event hosted helps us reinvest in the local wine community, funding resources such as the kitchen and sensory lab at Okanagan College and supporting viticulture students through scholarships and bursaries. At the BC Wine Information Centre, we are proud to stand for knowledge, connection, and the celebration of all things BC wine.

What an amazing centralized venue to get a view (and purchase) of most of the different types of wine in the Okanagan, and some beyond. The centre also has some unique cheeses, and wine accessories. Also they identify winning wines from different competitions.

It's a great collection of local wines and artisanal gifts, but the reason why it gets 5 stars (and the reason why I recommend going there) is that the staff are so helpful! I was looking for some very specific imagery and they were able to confidently identify the items that had it, and they provided a way for me to ship a fragile item that has been sitting at my home for months. I will definitely be going back.
